An Introduction to Practical Simulation Training for Primary Care Clinicians and Educators CPD Course
Course code: AR136Course summary
This interactive one-day online CPD course introduces primary care clinicians and educators to the foundations of simulation-based education (SBE).
The course is designed for professionals who are new to simulation teaching and want practical, structured guidance on how to design, deliver, and debrief simple clinical simulations that can be used immediately in teaching, training, and workplace learning.
Participants will gain a practical understanding of how simulation can be applied in primary care education, clinical supervision, and skills development.
Who should attend?
This course is suitable for:
- Practice Nurses
- Advanced Nurse Practitioners
- Physician Associates
- Pharmacists
- Allied Health Professionals
- GP Educators and Clinical Supervisors
- Primary care staff involved in learner support or workplace training
- Anyone new to simulation-based education
Important notes
All course material, evaluations and certificates provided. This course runs from 10:00am- 4:30pm and is delivered virtually on Zoom.
Why this course matters
Simulation-based education is increasingly used in the NHS to support:
- patient safety and clinical decision-making
- team communication and human factors training
- workplace-based learning in primary care
- structured reflection and assessment of clinical skills
This course provides a practical foundation for clinicians moving into simulation teaching roles within primary care and NHS education settings.
